The Banzai Pipeline located in Ehukai Beach Park is an iconic surf spot known for creating powerful waves through its interactions with ocean elements. As an exposed reef break, it's a favorite among surfers. The magic of Pipeline lies in the formation of its waves, which start at the outer reef, gain power at the first reef, and become even more thrilling due to hidden features underneath. When they reach the second reef, they turn into barrel waves, but this requires a specific swell direction, such as W/NW to NW. Other swell directions can cause sand buildup, making the waves unsurfable. These magnificent waves are a winter wonder eagerly awaited by surfers.
