Apparently, her nose was shattered in 20 places during a trip to Hawaii for her 31st birthday. The actress was hit right in the face by another surfboard. 

She had to go through several surgeries up to 2006 to fix the broken bones that resulted from her surfing accident, but she never gave up her love for ocean sports. We can see some of her best surfing moves in the famous movie "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle."
